The job of the artist is to help us see, hear, perceive, and feel in ways beyond the familiar.  If artists, art educators, and art advocates can discuss the arts in education in ways that will foster better, broader, and less familiar ways to think and talk about education, they will have demonstrated the vital import of their craft.  Few things could be more important.

 

예술가의 일은 익숙하지 않은 방식으로 보고, 듣고, 인지하고, 느끼도록 돕는 것이다. 만약 예술가, 예술 교육가, 예술 대변자들이 예술을 더 발전되고 다양한, 독창적인 방식으로 생각하고 말하도록 교육할 수 있다면, 그들은 그들의 작업이 매우 중요한 것임을 입증하는 것이다.
